Stills

In the second shot, Walter is placed by the door with a tighter shot to create a sense of isolation. His independence is emphasized by this action and the isolation adds to his character know how of his actions based on his aforementioned independence. He presents himself as alone in most of the stills he is in, which implies that the character feels alone. The use of door frames surrounding him adds to the feeling of being enclosed and trapped, possibly within himself, or his head is trapped in constant thought. The use of door frames adds the emphasis on his isolation as an important character.
